02:25 pm - long time no write
I have been MIA for a long time. I tend to forget I have a livejournal. Elizabeth was born on 2-15-05. She is quite active! She is a little peanut. Last weigh in she was 24lbs and 35 inches. She is using the toliet most of the time. SHe enjoys putting her own stickers on the chart! Plus I think she knows she will get a treat if she goes enough times during the day. She is speaking in almost complete sentences. Her goal to meet this summer is riding a tricycle. She is determined that is for sure. All is well for us! Hope everyone else is doing good!

10:36 pm - Blue update
Hi everybody! Well, the youngest member of this group is doing great. Our friends actually sent Blue a drum set, if you can believe that. He's really into music--both playing and dancing, and also into cable cars, trains, the Cars movie, tractors, big rigs, and anything with wheels. We haven't cut his hair so he gets called "she" much more often than "he" although I'm not sure how anyone mistakes this rambunctious boy in jeans and carrying a truck in each fist for a girl. Here are a couple of pictures:

08:54 pm - Ruby Update
Ruby turned 29 months on the 16th and she is just starting to talk! We've been to speech therapy and her pediatrician. She will be tested for autism within the next 6 months too. I don't think she is autistic, but we want to rule everything out. She doesn't like speech therapy and I find that she learns much better at home in a play type of setting when she's relaxed.
Other than the speech delay, she is quite a normal toddler. She loves to play hide and seek or well hide under the covers and let mom and dad ask a million times "where's Ruby?" She still loves Elmo and Dora. She loves music and dances all the time. Her favourite thing to do lately is go out to the park and pick flowers, they're mostly dandelions, but to her they're flowers. I find mushed dandelions on the floor constantly.
She is learning sign language and loves it. I wish I'd known she was going to be slow to talk because I would have taught her sign from birth.
I am currently 34 weeks pregnant with my second and can't wait to have this one! I'm having another girl and I think the baby will be really good for Ruby, she loves babies and thinks they have funny hair. I think the baby will help her socially later on.
That's it for now. Anyone else with a late talker?

01:27 am - Blue's birthday
Blue's birthday party was a lot of fun! I enjoyed seeing the pictures from all his older Feb2005 friends, so here are a few from us. TWO YEARS--wow. Our little babies are all grown up.

10:39 am - Update on Talking
I posted a couple months ago about Ruby not talking and most likely needing speech therapy. Well, she's still not talking so we've started the process for speech therapy should start within the next month or so.
I know there were a couple other Feb babies that weren't talking at that time as well and I'm wondering if they are now, when they started if so and how they started talking (was in immediate or gradual). I'm so concerned about Ruby now and just wondering if anyone else shares my concerns.

10:31 am - Now I'm curious!!!
I had totally forgotten about our wonderful little community! Happy birthing day to all of the mommas and happy birthday to our 2 year olds! Miss L has to wait til Thursday to turn 2, but she is TOTALLY already all about the 2 year old attitude!
I figured a poll could be fun! :)
Is your kiddo potty trained yet?
Does your kid have hair yet?
How about sleeping?
Just curious, any extended BFers here?
What's your favorite new trick your kiddo does?

01:55 am - I just want to say...
I haven't been keeping up with each individual birthday, so I wanted to say one big fat Happy Birthday to all our wild toddlers right now. I hope every one of you little people have a great 2nd :)
12:25 am - Just a little housekeeping
I don't check the membership list that often, but when I see someone has deleted their journal, I remove them from the community. Whether you are one of the three that this effects this go-round, or if you delete your journal in the future, please know it is nothing personal. If you come back to LJ and want to join under a different name, just apply for membership with the new journal and leave a comment to one of my posts here (or the public few in my personal journal) to let me know who you are. Easy Peasy.
Deletions this time:
freaki_chik, sassydot, and badboyjohn
Also, if you change your username, please pop in and do a quick post to the community letting us know who you are now and who you were.

01:28 pm - So happy.
Well, as many of you know and may not know, I was the original creator of this community. Unfortunately, I miscarried in my second trimester and pretty much abandoned the community. :(
Now, I am expecting again and so happy. I am due the end of August 2007, and the last few years have been quite an adventure. Daddy and I go in for our first ultrasound on the 10th and I am so paranoid of another miscarriage, but I am hopeful and excited and just hope everyone who prays will throw a prayer in for me and baby to have a healthy, safe pregnancy this go around.
I am glad everyone else is doing well with their feb 05 babies.. :)
